Our gadolinium rods are cast, lightly polished and individually vacuum packed. Each rod measures 100mm long (3.95 inches) and is 3mm in diameter. It weighs ~ 5.52 grams. They are strongly ferromagnetic when cold and less magnetic when above 20C.

The rod can also be bent into a different shape without too much effort.
